August Newsletter

Dear Boaters,                                                                                              Aug 24th, 2012

Dock out day will be Sunday October 14th at 8:00am.  We would like everyone to make an effort to attend this year as we have several items that we need the membership to vote on.  As always please bring any tools or equipment that might be needed to help out and make the day shorter for everyone.  As always a $50.00 fine will be levied for any member failing to attend.  If you can’t attend, please let Wayne or myself know.

These items include, but are not limited to:

Board Member Elections   We have at least four positions that are coming available.  One position is the vice commodore.  When a new vice commodore is elected, Wayne Ousley will be automatically moved to commodore.  We also have 3, three year board member positions coming open.

Laura has also decided to step down as secretary.  Because of this we will again combine the secretary and treasurer position into one job.  If Pat Ousley is not willing to take on these extra duties we will have the secretary/treasurer job open as well.  Laura has agreed to maintain the web site for the club.

Please consider volunteering for one of these positions.  Fresh ideas and perspectives are always needed.

Also, please bring up any improvements that you feel the club needs.  We would like to try to create some sort of budget for 2013 and knowing the improvements that are needed would help us accomplish this.

As the membership, you have twice a year to bring up items for change and have a vote on these issues.  These two times are dock in and dock out day.  If you would like to see some changes made, please attend the meeting and bring the issues up so they can be voted on.

Thanks, Kevin Hardesty, Commodore
